Mission:

Central Baptist Church located in Albertville is seeking a bi-vocational or co-vocational Worship leader. Central Baptist desires to have a blend of Scripture-rich, theologically-sound, and Christ-centered worship through hymns, songs, and Psalms. 

Where we are:

We currently have guitarists, pianists, bassists, percussionists, sound techs, media volunteers. Yet, we are desiring one who would lead, organize, and guide others to worship Christ in unity.

We have a new sound system that was installed in 2019 including new computers, boards, and speakers. We have recently updated our keyboard to a Nord Stage 5.

Qualifications

• Born-again Christian. Baptized by immersion

• Proven experience as Worship Leader or similar role

• Strong musical skills and proficiency in playing an instrument or singing

• Ability to lead and inspire musical groups

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Knowledge of various music styles and genres

• Experience in organizing and conducting rehearsals

• Ability to organize all aspects of worship: music, technology, sound/audio visual

• Mentoring

• Educating

• Leadership

• Ability to lead a blend of contemporary songs and hymns

• Knowledge of Planning Center Online

• Knowledge of ProPresenter or Worship software.

Responsibilities

• The Worship Leader will be responsible for leading the music ministry of Central Baptist with a servant attitude towards God and others, creating a spiritually enriching atmosphere through music, and fostering a sense of community through worship

• Agree to abide by Church Covenant and Baptist Faith and Message 2000

• Plan/organize and lead music for all worship services and special events

• Select appropriate music that align with, when possible, the theme of the message working closely and following the leadership of the Senior Pastor

• Communicate effectively with the congregation to enhance their worship experience

• Communicate/collaborate openly and honestly with pastoral team and staff about needs/problems, resolving issues in a timely, Christ-like manner

• Prepare and manage budget needs and expenses

• Schedule volunteers for all areas pertaining to worship via Planning Center

• Build the Propresenter slides for lyrics to songs using tools such as songselect.

• Upload worship services to the church website via Cloversites, youtube, etc.

• Be engaged in the life of the Church through Bible Study, outreach events, and ministry opportunities.

• Oversee and encourage music leadership within the Church for new possibilities such as: children’s choir, adult choir, developing musicians, etc.…
